Objective The aim of the experiment was to study the inhibitory effect of spirulina platensis on lipid peroxidation during acute chemical liver injury in mice.Method The model of CCl 4?intoxication mice was used.Result A decreased MDA activity,increased GSH and SOD activity of liver tissue were found in CCl 4?intoxicated mice after 0.83 g·kg -1 ,1.67?g·kg -1 ,2.50?g·kg -1 of spirulina platensis had been given orally for 25 days.Conclusion It is suggested that spirulina platensis posseses an inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation during acute chemical liver injury in mice.
