国家自然科学基金资助我国阿尔茨海默病基础研究十年回顾与展望

摘要:

目的: 系统回顾并分析2016年至2025年10年间国家自然科学基金委员会(NSFC)对阿尔茨海默病(AD)研究的资助情况,旨在梳理近10年我国AD研究的总体布局、发展动态及演变趋势,为该领域未来的研究方向与资助决策提供参考。方法: 通过科学基金网络信息系统,在项目关键词或项目名称中搜索"阿尔茨海默病",设定批准年度为2016年至2025年,进行检索分析。结果: NSFC在AD领域的资助呈持续增长趋势,形成以面上项目和青年基金为主体、高强度项目为引领的分层资助格局。资助主要集中于医学科学部,并呈现多学科交叉融合的发展趋势。研究内容在延续Aβ、tau蛋白和胶质细胞等经典病理机制的基础上,逐步拓展至免疫炎症、肠-脑轴、代谢重编程、多组学整合分析、人工智能及精准诊疗等新兴方向,体现了从单一机制解析向系统医学与转化应用转变的趋势。结论: NSFC的持续稳定投入显著推动了我国AD研究的广度与深度,但未来仍需进一步加强基础研究与临床转化的协同,以提升AD的精准诊断与防治水平。

Objective: To review and analyze the funding landscape of basic Alzheimer disease(AD) research supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) from 2016 to 2025, aiming to delineate the overall research framework, development trends, and evolutionary patterns of AD research in China, providing references for future research directions and funding strategies in this field. Methods: In the NSFC Network Information System, we searched for "Alzheimer disease" in project keywords or project titles, and set the approval year range from 2016 to 2025. And then we conducted retrieval analysis. Results: The results showed a sustained increase in both the number of funded projects and total funding in the AD field, forming a tiered funding structure dominated by General Programs and Young Scientists Fund projects, with major programs providing strategic leadership. Funded research has been primarily concentrated within the Department of Health Sciences, while increasingly integrating with disciplines. Research themes have expanded beyond classical pathological mechanisms involving amyloid-β, tau, and glial cells to emerging areas including neuroinflammation, the gut-brain axis, metabolic reprogramming, multi-omics approaches, artificial intelligence, and precision diagnosis and therapy, reflecting a shift from single-mechanism studies toward systems medicine and translational applications. Conclusion: Overall, sustained and stable NSFC support has markedly advanced the breadth and depth of AD research in China; however, further strengthening the integration of basic research with clinical translation remains essential to improve the precision of AD diagnosis and treatment.
